How about the weather last week? Our recent downpours have highlighted for me, a need to be reminded about what the proper etiquette is around the use of an umbrella. Living and working in London many years ago taught me that there is a definite code of behaviour around the use of one’s brolly in a busy built up urban area. I was acutely reminded of this as we experienced a 40mm deluge, as I tried to navigate my way around the smart young men of the finance world with their enormous golf umbrellas emblazoned with their institution’s logo. Move over please and read this article.
Loads of new roles came in last week which will for some, be a great early Xmas present with the promise of a new job for the new year (see jobs below). The team has not only been busy with putting together shortlists but spreading some Xmas cheer across our broad client group as well as trying to get out to all of our temps in the field and of course all placements that we have made throughout the calendar year. It’s still a work in progress and may well spill over to the New Year as we all madly endeavour to meet a fast approaching deadline!
A very fond farewell also goes out to the lovely Adrienne Carr whom we placed almost 18 years ago as EA to the Principal of Yarra Valley Grammar School. What an achievement and how quickly did that amount of time pass! We join the school community in wishing you nothing but the very best for what ever your new future may hold. Thanks for being an amazing placement!
Just a reminder that Rusher Rogers will be available during the Christmas holiday period so if there are any last minute temp or perm needs we will be here for you!

A Word From The Temp Desk:
The client visits over Christmas are a great way to get out of the office and celebrate and thank both clients and Temp Professionals for all their help during the year. We were out of the office for most of last week doing just this. It has been great to put faces to names and to get the chance to meet lots of new clients as well as catching up with clients who I consistently work with.
We had lots of temp roles coming in last week for over the Christmas period, and I want to thank all our amazing Temp Professionals who have put their hands up to work through this holiday period, we are very thankful for your commitment and availabilities.
For many other Temp Professionals, this week is the last week of their current assignments and the last week before many businesses shut down for the Christmas/Holiday season. With this year going so fast and being so busy I encourage all my Temp Professionals to take some time to reflect on the great work that you have done and all the things great or small that you have achieved in your personal life.
One week to go before most of us get to drive, fly or walk around the country to the places where we can celebrate Christmas with family and friends over yummy food and a few drinks.
Keep up the GREAT work!
