Weekly Wrap Up

Rusher Roger’s weekly wrap-up report on what’s happening in the world of Rusher Rogers, our clients, our candidates and the recruitment market.

This week has flown by and it feels like the end of the year is fast approaching. We are now only a few weeks away from the Not-For-Profit People Conference where we will be attending as Silver Partners for the second year running.

Taking place over two days, it will be a unique opportunity to join five hundred inspiring and informative senior leaders, board members, HR professionals, volunteer managers and CEO’s to explore issues most prevalent within the NFP sector.

Congratulations to Jenny Glare, the General Manager of the Heritage and Information Service at MacKillop Family Services, for her recognition at the 2017 HESTA Community Sector Awards.

Jenny received the ‘Unsung Hero’ award, which recognises “an individual working within the community sector who has made an exceptional contribution to social justice in Australia, by enhancing the well-being of individuals or communities experiencing disadvantage.”

I would also like to extend a big thank you once again to Ash and the team at Hercules Morse who looked after us so well for our CTC event last Thursday evening, the last one of our networking sessions for 2017. The focus for this month was women in leadership roles (also this weeks blog topic), particularly those within the Non-Profit sector. It was another successful event for those who attended with the opportunity to meet George Leighton, the Director and Founder of GLPR Social to hear about all things digital.

“There is real potency in the ability to build rapport and create long-lasting bonds through effective business networking.” – R.L. Adams

The next Connections That Count (CTC) networking season will start again in March 2018. Be sure to get in touch with us if you or someone from your industry would like to find out more about how to attend.

George from GLPR Social will also be there at the up and coming Ethical Jobs  Not-For-Profit People Conference on the 13th & 14th November to answer any questions you may have and demystify social media so come visit us on stand 25!!
