The Privilege of Partnership | Weekly Wrap-Up

It is so good to be recruiting in a strong market. The permanent market continues to boom as organisations across both the NFP and commercial sectors have confidence in hiring people on an on-going basis. It is great to be a key partner in that growth as we not only recruit to replace former employees, but recruit for growth, as organisations expand their workforce. 50% of the roles that we have been recruiting for have been newly created, additional roles to meet the demands or new structure of organisations.

For us, as a recruitment agency it’s a privilege to partner with our clients and help them, through the people that we place, realise their goals. Importantly it’s also a privilege to place good, talented and professional people with those organisations to assist those individuals realise their own personal professional goals. As a recruiter of some 30+ years, I still love being able to do this. Yes it’s challenging at times but what a rewarding career.  It’s a career where you can really influence and have impact through the people that we work with.  I never want to lose sight of this. So thanks to all of our clients and candidates for trusting us to grow your organisations and your careers.

A fine, young and extraordinarily inspiring young woman died last week. Her name was Claire Wineland. She died way too young suffering from Cystic Fibrosis. People like Claire make you stop and think. She used the limited time that she had on this planet to inspire, motivate and encourage others. Here is a link to just one of her Ted Talks:

This week Sacred Heart Mission is holding their annual Giving Day and they are seeking volunteers to help phone as many supporters as possible on Wednesday! This is a one-day only, all or nothing campaign so if they don’t reach their target, no donations are processed. This is a great opportunity to get involved. All funds go towards their multi-million dollar building redevelopment, in St Kilda, which will provide accommodation, health and support services to people experiencing disadvantage or homelessness. Get involved here!

Until next week,

Susie Rogers

A Word From The Temp Desk

This week we visited quite a few new clients and picked up new roles. It’s always fascinating sitting down with business owners or senior managers to understand their business, their team dynamics and take a comprehensive role brief. Matilda has been busy coming up to speed with our extensive temp professional team. We are also working on a special gift for our temp professionals which we are excited about.  It has also been a busy week again with temp assignment extensions. This supports the fact that our temp professionals are some of the best in the market. Reminder that our temp professionals have been interviewed by one of our Consultants, skill proficiency tested, working rights verified and fully referenced and temp assignment ready!
