Mindfulness | Weekly Wrap-Up

Just as well we were able to start the week with Sister Shivani… seriously what a week. I can highly recommend her ability to calm a room as 100% of the attendees can attest to early on a Monday morning. She had us captivated as we collectively tackled ‘overthinking’ at 7:45am. The week continued to improve for those of us getting on with the business of keeping the wheels of industry moving in-spite of all the who-ha going on in our nation’s capital. Check out our post from during the week on mindfulness at work.

I saw a great post during the week.  The Fair Work Ombudsman announced the new family and domestic violence leave entitlements. Award covered employees can now take up to 5 days of unpaid leave to deal with the impact of family and domestic violence.

And another interesting LinkedIn post from Talkforce asks us to swap out that ‘F’ word for either ‘Fascinating’ or ‘Fortunately’. Apparently if we use either one of these two replacement ‘F’ words we move from the emotional, non-rational part of the brain to the more helpful, logical frontal lobe. These words shift our perspective to a more positive place … who knew.  Take note Canberra!

Congratulations to one of our awesome candidates whom we placed at The Pharmacy Guild. Keep up the good work Kristina!

And for anyone who is familiar with the great work that Jonathon Welch does with Choir of Hard Knocks, then see below for what sounds like an amazing event:

A Word From The Temp Desk

It is so rewarding to see e-mails from applicants who have been referred to us by their friends, families or colleagues. That tells us that our temps are happy and support Rusher Rogers. This week has seen a number of these referrals come through.

It has also been a busy week with temp assignment extensions. This supports the fact that our temp professionals are some of the best in the market.  We have had an amazing response to our August promotion from new clients and are fast approaching the last week of this fabulous promotion, so don’t miss out! Book a temp professional for 3 days or more and the first 4 hours will be at no charge. Promotion open to new clients only.

Reminder that our temp professionals have been interviewed by one of our Consultants, skill proficiency tested, working rights verified and fully referenced and temp assignment ready.
