Finals Week | Weekly Wrap-Up

Everyone had footy finals fever in Melbourne last week! Our lovely temp team were busy delivering some delicious cupcakes to all of our working temps in honour of the two Grand Final teams! Thanks to Cupcake Central for making these delicious morsels! There was a mixture of support in the Rusher Rogers office, with half the office going for Collingwood and the other half going for the West Coast Eagles. What a nail biter of a game!

As we draw nearer to the end of the year, we get closer to the Labour Hire Licensing Scheme hitting Victoria. What’s interesting is that South Australia, where this scheme was put into practice earlier this year, have repealed this legislation due to the fact that it failed to address the issue of exploitation in any effective way. Let’s wait and see how this affects the rest of the country with the Labour Hire Licensing Scheme and whether we will indeed need to put this into place in Victoria.

Last week we attended one of the Inside Outside Confidence workshops, where we learned some great life formulas from Anita van Rooyen, to build up confidence on the inside, as well as styling tips from Tameika Lovell, previous stylist to the stars, to build confidence on the outside. This also gave us some inspiration in how to deliver our own workshops in the near future.

If you’re not already following us on Instagram, check out our page. We’ve been working hard to post all sorts of tips, quotes, images of Melbourne and the like. Search for rusherrogers.

Until next week,

The Rusher Rogers Team

A Word From The Temp Desk

A short week is always busy for a temp desk and fun as we anticipated a long weekend and the AFL Grand Final. With the short week and of course School Holidays some of our clients are making the most of it to enjoy an extra-long weekend and have been calling upon our temp professionals to cover this time, which of course we are able to fill as we have available temp professionals who have been interviewed by one of our Consultants, skill proficiency tested, working rights verified and fully referenced and temp assignment ready.
