A Short Week | Weekly Wrap-Up

It was a short week last week in Melbourne with the Cup Day Public Holiday on Tuesday and it felt like most of the city took the Monday off as well. Naturally the weather was crazy with torrential rain, thunder and hail storms and just a hint of sunshine for the big race on Tuesday.

Matilda won the sweep in our office with Susie coming a close second.

During the week, some of the team attended a Recruitment Pop-Up event hosted by the RCSA which was a great opportunity to network with other Recruiters and get an idea of what events are coming up in 2019! Held in the Rose Garden at Garden State Hotel in the city, it was a fun night of drinks, nibbles and quizzes, which we unfortunately lost very badly.

It’s back to business as usual this week, as we prepare to head into the Christmas season. Next week we will be attending the Ethical Jobs Not For Profit People Conference – more on that soon!

Until next week,

The Rusher Rogers Team

A Word From The Temp Desk

What a whirl wind of a week the temp desk had last week! With the public holiday,  me completing my final university exams, Mirleen getting ready to jet set off on annual leave and Claudia back in the office, we sure did have an eventful week.

The temp desk has started to ramp up as we enter the holiday season and employees start to take leave for the end of the year. More and more temp opportunities have been flooding our way, which has led us to employ more temp professionals to be able to fill the diverse range of roles that are appearing in our inboxes.

With the holiday season approaching and Christmas party invites being released around the office, temp professionals need to make sure they are all over what we call at Rusher Rogers ‘Christmas Party Etiquette’**. As a temp professional working for an organisation you need to remember that you are representing Rusher Rogers, this means putting your best foot forward. We encourage all temp professionals to enjoy the holiday season, have a dance, a few drinks, celebrate the end of the year with colleagues but just always keeping in mind your ‘Christmas Party Etiquette’.

Also, a big CONGRATULATIONS to our temp professionals who have been offered permanent positions in the last month, thank you for all your hard work!

**if you are interested in learning more about ‘Christmas Party Etiquette’ the Rusher Rogers team are writing a blog to give you some handy tips. Keep an eye out for this next week.
